AMA-CON Taking Over Amarillo Civic Center This Weekend

An annual pop culture spectacle is back this year at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex.

Beginning Saturday, AMA-CON will return for its seventh year, bringing Amarillo together for two days of pop culture fun. Vendors, events, and panels will be part of the festival, which is presented by the Friends of the Amarillo Public Library.

Special guests at this year’s event will include cosplayers Michael Wilson and Kayce Schulte, voice actresses Bryn Apprill and Jessica Calvello, authors Fonda Lee and AG Howard, and artist Kelly Turnbull. An appearance will also be made by the “Back to the Future” DeLorean time machine.

The event will begin at 11AM on Saturday and will also take place on Sunday. Admission is $5 for one day or $8 for both days.
