Billy Bob Thornton Plans Concert in West Texas

Academy Award-winner Billy Bob Thornton will be bringing his band to West Texas for a concert this summer.

On Wednesday, July 31st, Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters will perform at the Cactus Theater in Lubbock. The show will come shortly following the planned release of the band’s new album, Speck, which is planned to be published in June.

Thornton, the lead singer of the group, is best known for his television and film roles, for which he has received critical acclaim. Thornton won an Oscar for the adapted screenplay for “Sling Blade” in 1997, but also was nominated for his performance in the film. Thornton has also received various award nominations for his roles in “A Simple Plan,” “Fargo,” “Bad Santa,” “Goliath,” and “The Man Who Wasn’t There.”
