Meetings Scheduled Ahead of Paid Parking Launch in Downtown Amarillo

After successfully passing the Amarillo City Council last year, a policy for paid parking downtown will go into effect this March.

According to the City of Amarillo, ahead of paid parking’s March 4th launch downtown, citizens are being invited to public meetings about the policy. Both meetings will be held at the Downtown Library, one on February 28th, and the other on March 7th. Both meetings will begin at 6PM.

Paid parking will be enforced Monday through Friday, 8AM through 5PM in select areas downtown. The parking will permit a driver to pay for a spot for up to three hours, but each vehicle is required to be moved every three hours.
