Another candidate has signed on to run for chairperson of the Randall County Republican Party.

According to filings with the Texas Secretary of State’s website, Cara Ann Hendricks has filed to run for chairperson of the Randall County Republican Party in 2020. Hendricks’ entry into the race brings the field to two candidates, as incumbent Tim Revell is seeking his first full term in the position.

The Republican Party’s county chair helps coordinate party efforts in counties and elections. In Randall County, Terry Harman won re-election to the position in 2018 over challenger Jinger White, but ended up leaving the role late last year. Party executive committee members then chose Tim Revell from a large field to take the job.

Candidates can file for spots on the ballot through December 9. Primary election day is March 3, 2020.
