U.S. Senate Chris Bell was in Amarillo on Wednesday night, talking to local Democratic primary voters about the issues that matter to them.

Chris Bell made the stop at the Gallery on 7th in Amarillo, discussing issues with a large group of voters who gathered there. This was Bell’s first appearance in Amarillo since launching his bid for the U.S. Senate earlier this year, but was also a homecoming of sorts, as Bell once worked as a journalist in Amarillo.

Bell is one of a number of Democrats seeking their party’s nomination to challenge U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in 2020. Cornyn is also facing a handful of primary challengers on the Republican side.

The Democratic primary will be held on March 3, 2020.
