Amarillo Real Estate Market Gets Poor Rankings in New Study

Amarillo might not have the best real estate market, according to a newly released survey.

This week, WalletHub released its 2018 Best Real Estate Markets survey, comparing three hundred real estate markets in different areas of the country. The survey compared the markets in various categories, including a 'Real-Estate Market' category and an 'Affordability & Economic Environment' category.

Survey makers ranked Amarillo as #242 out of 300 in the survey. Amarillo was on the better half in the affordability ranking, landing at #144, but tanked in the market category, falling at #246. The ranking earned Amarillo the second lowest spot in the state, just edging out Corpus Christi at #277.

The best real estate market in the survey was Frisco, landing at number one in affordability and number eight in market, earning the top spot overall. The worst ranking went to Detroit, Michigan, which earned the #300 ranking for both categories.
