Two area teachers were recognized by the Region 16 Education Service Center this week.
According to information released by Region 16, officials named Jan Stovall and Kimberly Johnson as the recipients of its elementary and secondary teachers of the year awards, respectively. Both teachers will represent Region 16 at a state ceremony in October.
Stovall is a 3rd grade reading teacher from Morningside Elementary in Dumas, Texas. Johnson is a mathematics teacher at Borger High School.
