Abbott Reappoints Amarillo Resident to State Board

An Amarillo resident has been reappointed to the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.

This week, Governor Greg Abbott's office announced that the Governor has reappointed several people to the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. One of the people reappointed was Amarillo resident DeLana Honaker, Ph.D.

Honaker is the CEO of Health Harmony Therapy, which provides occupantional therapy centered on lymphedema and chronic venous issues. Honaker has also worked as a professor and has worked with children with special needs. Honaker holds degrees from Texas Woman’s University.

In addition to Honaker, Abbott appointed Blanca Cardenas and Karen Gardner to the board for terms to expire in 2023 and Stephanie Johnston, O.T.D., Sally Harris King, and Pamela Nelon with terms to expire in 2021. The board is responsible for licensing occupational therapy services in Texas.
