South, Schenck to Talk Parking Meters at Tea Party Meeting

Two local political activists will address residents next week on the City of Amarillo's plan to place parking meters downtown.

On Tuesday night, Danny South and James Schenck will address the Amarillo Tea Party meeting to relay information related to the implementation of parking meters in downtown Amarillo. The speakers are promising to deliver details on the "good, bad and (mostly) ugly" of the parking plan.

The plan, which has been in the works for sometime, was approved by the City Council during a unanimous vote on Tuesday night and will likely materialize by January.

Tea Party members will gather for the meeting on Tuesday, August 21st at the Amarillo First Family Church (6101 S. Bell). The meeting will begin at 7pm.
