Popular Local Mexican Restaurant Moving

A popular Amarillo Mexican restaurant will soon be opening its doors at a brand new location.

On Wednesday, Victor Leal, owner of Leal's, announced that the longtime Mexican cuisine fixture would be closing its doors at its current location ahead of a move to a brand new spot. Leal says that the new Leal's will be located in Wolflin Square, in the shop that was once home to Furr's buffet.

Leal says that the move will increase dining area space and will allow the creation of a banquet hall for around one-hundred people. Additionally, the restaurateur says that Leal's famous tortillas will be made in the front of the restaurant, allowing patrons to personally taste and view the famous treats.

As of right now, Leal has not announced a firm date for when the restaurant will make the move.
