Amarillo Events Board to Replace Video Screens at Venue

A local government board is considering replacing video screens at a local entertainment venue.

On Tuesday, the Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District Board will meet to discuss replacing the video screens at the Amarillo National Center. If approved, the screens will be replaced at the cost of $339,000. Board members will also discuss lease addendum with the Amarillo Tri-State Exposition to cover reimbursement for improvements.

Located at the Tri-State Fairgrounds, the Amarillo National Center is a dirt floor arena. The arena regularly hosts rodeos, horse shows, concerts, motocross, monster trucks and more.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 15th in the Council Conference Room of Amarillo City Hall (509 Southeast 7th Avenue). The meeting is set to begin at 9am.
