Amarillo Police Investigate Two Sunday Burglaries

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating two burglaries that took place on Sunday afternoon.

According to APD, officers were dispatched at 4:01pm on Sunday to the Boost Mobile at 3101 South Western Street on the report of an armed robbery. The victim told officers that a male suspect entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk. The suspect, described as being light skinned with a small build, wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, black skinny jeans, a black ball cap and sunglasses, demanded money and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

At 4:26pm, a call came into officers from the Metro PCS at 1407 North Grand advising that a robbery had just occurred. The suspect's description was the same at with the first robbery. The suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction. The victim described the male as being about 5'7" tall, while having a thin build.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
