Amarillo Police Investigate Sakura Restaurant Robbery

The Amarillo Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that took place on Sunday.

According to APD, officers were dispatched around 11pm on Sunday night to the Sakura restaurant at 4000 Soncy Road on a robbery. A male wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and a lighter cover on his face, entered the back door of the restaurant and pointed a gun at the employees. The suspect then demanded money and the employees told him that there was no money.

Officials say the suspect left out of the door he entered through and ran into the apartment complex west of the restaurant. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
