Largest Numbers of Voting Season Cast Ballots on Friday

Potter and Randall County saw the largest early voting turnout of the season on Friday as the final day to early vote arrived in Amarillo.

On Friday, thousands of voters cast ballots in Potter and Randall Counties. Officials numbers from the Elections Administration offices of both counties show 1,905 ballots were cast in Randall County on Friday, while 855 ballots were cast in Potter County. In total, 4,224 voters cast ballots early in Potter County, while 9,204 voters cast early ballots in Randall.

Preliminary numbers also show multiple mail-in ballots were cast in both counties. Early numbers show 1,060 mail-in ballots cast in Potter County through Friday, while 1,641 have been cast in Randall County. These numbers still have time to change, however, as voters casting mail-in ballots have until 7pm on Tuesday to hand-deliver their ballot to the local election office.

Numbers are not yet available showing a breakdown of how many ballots were cast in either primary election during early voting.

Election day is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 6th.
