The City of Amarillo says that funds from the Community Development department are available for emergency home repairs in Amarillo.
Funding from federal grants are currently available for homeowners needing emergency repairs on heating, electrical, sewer lines, gas lines, water lines, plumbing, roofs, and accessibility. The funding comes from the federal Community Development Block Grant.
Property owners must receive low-to-moderate income to qualify for assistance. Applications for funding are available in the Community Development office of the Simms Municipal Building (808 South Buchanan).
