Amarillo Police Arrest Man in Attempted Knife-Point Robbery

Amarillo Police officers arrested a man this week in connection with an attempted knife-point robbery.

According to APD, officers were dispatched Thursday evening on the report of an aggravated robbery involving a knife in the 2400 block of Hobbs. The male victim has been walking when he was approached by two male suspects who attempted to rob him a knife-point before running off.

Dispatchers obtained a description from the victim and located subjects matching those descriptions in a nearby area. Officers determined that the two men were the suspects who attempted to rob the victim.

Justin Bryson, 29, was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for Aggravated Robbery and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3. The second suspect was identified and released.

The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
