APD Increases Reward for Knife-Point Robbery Suspect

The Amarillo Police Department has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in a knife-point robbery that took place in Amarillo.

According to APD, a suspect entered a Toot n Totum store at 211 South Western on February 14th, armed with a knife. The suspect revealed the knife and walked behind the store counter. He picked up a plastic sack, held it open and told store employees to empty cash drawers into the sack. He also had the employees place cigarettes in the bag and then he left the store.

The suspect was wearing a gray hooded jacket and a white cloth across his face. He was also wearing blue jeans and gray shoes.

Including a supplemental increase from Toot n Totum, APD is now offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for the reward is your tip leads to the suspect's arrest.
