It was announced this week that Wales Madden, Jr. has passed away.
According to the Amarillo Area Foundation, Madden was a local philanthropist and community servant. Madden was a fixture on the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation and was formerly the chairman of the Amarillo Area Foundation board.
“He has helped shape our region as much as anyone for the past 60+ years,” the Foundation said in a Facebook post. “The Foundations will miss him as a tremendous leader, and we will all miss him as a dear friend.”
