Amarillo College is set to celebrate the completion of several projects on the school's east campus this week.

Tomorrow, supporters of Amarillo College will gather at 4pm at the school's east campus (1401 J Avenue) to celebrate the completion of projects that are aimed to enhance Amarillo College's aviation and diesel technology programs. The projects include the new Harrington Aviation Building and the 14,000-foot expansion of the Transportation Career Center.

The completion of the Harrington Aviation Building was funded by a $1.5 million gift from the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation. The expansion of the Transportation Career Center was funded by a $2.5 million grant from the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation.
