Amarillo Police are currently investigating an accident that sent one person to a local hospital.
According to APD, on December 11th, officers were dispatched to an accident at Republic Avenue and Western Street. A 2018 Harley Davidson, driven by a 29-year-old male, had been northbound on Western. A 1998 Ford F-150, driven by a 38-year-old male, was westbound on Republic, turning onto Western. The Harley then struck the Ford.
The motorcycle’s driver was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
This incident remains under investigation.
