Amarillo Animal Board to Make Recommendation on Changing Pet Ordinances

The Animal Management & Welfare Advisory Board will meet this week to discuss proposed changes to animal and fowl laws in Amarillo.

According to an agenda posted to Amarillo.gov, officials on the board will take official consideration on a series of proposed changes to pet ordinances this week. Ordinances which could be affected would related to fees, inhumane treatment, mandatory spay/neuter and intact cats and dogs.

It is unclear what specific changes will be considered. However, all recommended proposals will advance on to consideration by the Amarillo City Council.

Board members will meet at 4:30PM on Wednesday, October 10th, in the Council Chamber of Amarillo City Hall (509 Southeast 7th Avenue).
