Meetings Scheduled to Address Trash Cart Proposals

The City of Amarillo has scheduled three additional meetings to address trash cart service proposals in Amarillo.

According to the City, the Solid Waste Department is hosting three more community meetings to gather input on proposed trash cart services to address homes that have curbside hand collection in routes with unsafe alleys and dumpsters in front of homes.

The informational meetings will be held from 6 – 7 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Thursday, Jan. 18 – Tradewinds Elementary, 4300 S. Williams St.

  • Wednesday, Jan. 24 – Carver Elementary, 1905 N.W. 12th Ave.

  • Thursday, Jan. 25 – Hillside Christian Church (Amarillo North Grand Campus), 3508 N.E. 24th Ave.

These meetings will mark the most recent community input events scheduled by the City of Amarillo on the trash cart services.
