Tascosa Beats Amarillo High in Nailbiter

For the 2017 annual football matchup between the Tascosa High School Rebels and the Amarillo High Sandies, the Rebels were able to come out victorious.

In a nailbiting matchup between the two local titans of local high school football, Tascosa came in to the game with an early lead in the standings. Entering the game, the undefeated Rebels were looking to score another win in their "W" column over the 0-2 Sandies.

As the game began, it was clear that this would not be an ordinary football game, but rather a battle between the two rival high schools.

Tascosa score early, with a touchdown in the first quarter. The Rebels then kept the pressure on the Sandies, who returned touchdowns in the second and third quarters. In the fourth quarter, Amarillo High shutout the Rebels, but the last minute defensive rally was not enough to stop the rolling Rebels from picking up their fourth win of the season.

Tascosa's Rebels will now be seeking a fifth win of the season this week over the 2-2 Odessa Broncos. Amarillo High is set to face the Caprock Longhorns this week.
