Traffic Board to Recommend New Speed Limits on Annexed Roads

Members of the City of Amarillo Traffic Advisory Board will be considering the recommendation of new speed limits on annexed roads, during their meeting on Wednesday.

Board members will consider setting speed limits on the newly annex roads of Farmers Street, Western Street and Sundown Lane. It is not clear as to what sections of the annexed roads will see speed limit changes on Wednesday.

Traffic board members will also consider recommending a dual right turn at South Fillmore Street and Southeast 7th Avenue and a four-way stop sign at Parker Street and Southwest 43rd Avenue.

A public forum will also be held.

The meeting of the Traffic Board will begin at 1:30pm in the Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (509 SE 7th Avenue) on Wednesday, September 20th.
