City Encouraging Residents to "Test Chips"

The City of Amarillo is encouraging residents to have their pets microchips tested tomorrow.

According to the City of Amarillo, the City will be participating in "National Check Your Chip Day" on August 15th. Pet owners are encouraged to have their pets microchipped or to check their microchips at the Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare office (3501 S. Osage) or at the local veterinarian office.

The person testing the microchip should be able to give those checking the information the pet's microchip number and related contact information.
