Secession Advocate Kilgore Running Against Governor Abbott

Larry SECEDE Kilgore has announced his intention to again run for governor of Texas.

Kilgore, who was listed on the ballot in 2014 as SECEDE Kilgore, is running for the Republican nomination for governor of Texas against incumbent Greg Abbott. Kilgore previously ran for governor in 2006 and 2014, both times as a Republican. Kilgore also ran for United States Senate in 2008, against incumbent John Cornyn.

Kilgore is Abbott's first declared challenger of the 2018 election cycle. As of Kilgore's last financial report, his campaign has $910 on hand.

Filing for state offices begins on November 11th and runs through December 11th.
