The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a hit and run involving a 4-year-old on South Van Buren.
APD reports that officers were called to the scene last night, at about 9:10pm. A 4-year-old male had been in the street pushing a toy car when a gray 4-door Pontiac driven by a Hispanic male struck the boy.
The car fled the scene and the child was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
