Amarillo Animal Board to Discuss Euthanasia Policy

Members of the Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare Board will discuss the local euthanasia policy during Wednesday night's meeting.

According to an agenda posted for the meeting, the Board will discuss the euthanasia policy at the Department of Animal Management & Welfare during the meeting's work session. Because the item is listed on the work session, no formal action will be taken.

During the meeting, the board will take action on an ordinance that would reduce the stray hold from three business days to two. The board will also hear presentations on other items.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 21st in the City Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (509 SE 7th Ave). The meeting will begin at 5pm.
