Amarillo Gander Mountain to Stay Open

Amarillo's Gander Mountain store will reportedly stay open.

Gander Mountain's new owner, CNBC star Marcus Lemonis announced over Twitter a list of 70 Gander Mountain stores that will remain open. Among the stores on that list is Amarillo's Gander Mountain.  Lemonis has been releasing updates over Twitter regarding the franchise and what the fate will be for the Gander Mountain stores around the country.

Lemonis announced that while he now owns the franchise, he does not own the inventory inside of the Gander Mountain stores. The inventory in the stores is being liquidated, but Lemonis says that he plans to keep at least 70 Gander Mountains open.

Lemonis said that he is currently working to repurchase inventory and surviving stores will be restocked and reopened.

All employees impacted by the closing of a Gander Mountain store will have the opportunity to interview with Camping World, according to the Indy Star. Lemonis is the CEO of Camping World.
