The Amarillo Fire Department announced retirements and promotions this morning.
AFD announced the retirement of Lieutenant Gregg McGaha. According to the Amarillo Fire Department, McGaha retired on May 24, 2017 after serving the Amarillo area for 31 years. Lieutenant McGaha was assigned to the Wildland Firefighting program.
AFD also announced the promotion of two members. Matt Amerson, driver, was promoted to Lieutenant on May 24th and was assigned to the EMS program. Matt Horn, firefighter, was also promoted. Horn was promoted to the rank of driver and was assigned to the Communications program on May 24th.
