APD Announces Arrest in Stabbing Case

"On 5-22-2017, at 6:37 AM, officers were sent to a duplex in the 3400 block of W. 11th on a trauma call.  A 34 year old male who was suffering from a knife wound in the chest met the officers outside the apartment at the scene.  He reported that he was asleep in the home when someone broke in and stabbed him.  He fought with the suspect, who also stabbed a female there.  Officers entered the duplex and found a 32 year old female resident on the floor inside the home.  She was suffering from multiple stab wounds.  Furniture and property were broken in the home, indicating there had been a fight.  The initial investigation indicates that the suspect had entered the home through a window and attacked both victims while they were asleep.   Both victims were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Investigation led to the identification of the suspect, a male age 30 that has or had a prior relationship with the female victim.  The suspect was located today in the 4300 block of S. Austin and was taken into custody. APD Special Crimes and Detective Division investigators are investigating this incident. 

The name of the suspect in this case is Thomas Peter Angong-Manyang. He was arrested at 4:40 PM in the 4300 block of South Austin for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked into the Potter County Detention Center."
