Potter Judge to Face Off with Norris in Republican Primary

Judge Pamela Sirmon is running for the office of 320th District Court judge in 2018.

Sirmon, the long-time Potter County Court at Law #2 judge, filed the paperwork on Thursday to run for the office in 2018. Sirmon is joining the field days after former city attorney and Underwood Law Firm employee Marcus Norris announced his bid for the office.

Norris and Sirmon are both running in the Republican Party's primary election.

In addition, another candidate is considering joining the race for the 320th District Court judge. As we reported on Thursday, Steven Denny, an Amarillo criminal defense attorney, is considering a bid for the 320th District Judge spot. Denny said that he is speaking with family and friends in deciding whether he will make a bid for the spot.

Candidates have until Monday to file for office. Primary election day is March 6th.
