Editorial: 2017 Wrapup

2017 is rapidly coming to a close and many are now surveying the spoils of the year.

For some, 2017 was a year of great triumph. For others, 2017 was a year of great hardship. In total, 2017 brought Amarillo many new things and many new experiences. Readers of the Amarillo Pioneer, for example, have helped us deliver a brand new website and have supported us in all of our new endeavors. We hope to bring even more to all of our readers and supporters in 2018.

We have been critical of some in the community and we have praised others. In all things, however, we have always tried to be fair. Each person, organization and individual in our city deserves a fair shake and we have tried to offer that opportunity to each person and group.

Our new year's resolution will be to continue providing honest news to all of our friends and readers and to continue improving and innovating on the way that we deliver the news to Amarillo.

Thank you for all of your support over this year and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better 2018.
