Amarillo ISD Considering Purchasing Two Properties

Amarillo Independent School District trustees are considering purchasing two pieces of property in Amarillo.

According to an agenda posted for Monday's meeting of the Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees, trustees are considering purchasing two pieces of property.

The first property is located at 0 N. Hayes. The other property is located 801 Northeast 15th Avenue. According to property records from the Potter-Randall Appraisal District, the properties are owned by Greater Love Temple and North Amarillo Church of Christ, respectively.

Property valuations and purchase prices were not listed in the information provided by the school district.

Also during Monday's meeting, board members will consider appointing a board member to the East Gateway TIRZ board. Board members will also select a project architect for the Palo Duro High School Tennis Project.

In addition, in one of the high-profile events of the evening, board members will consider approving the canvassed results on the Amarillo ISD bond election that took place earlier this month. On November 7th, voters approved a $100 million bond package for AISD by an unofficial total of 55 percent to 45 percent.

Tonight's meeting will begin at 6pm at the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center board room (7200 Interstate 40 West).
