Senator Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) received an award this week from the Texas PTA.
It was announced this week that Seliger was the recipient of the Texas PTA's Legislative Honor Roll award. Seliger was named to the honor roll, due to his role as a member of the Senate Education Committee.
Seliger was one of three senators to be named to the honor roll by the Austin-based lobby group. Senators Jose Mendez (D-San Antonio) and Royce West (D-Dallas) were also named to the honor roll. In addition, Speaker Joe Straus was named to the honor roll for the Texas House of Representatives side.
