Representative Four Price (R-Amarillo) has been named the chair of a newly created committee at the Texas Capitol.
Texas House Speaker Joe Straus announced today that Representative Price will serve as the chair of the newly created Select Committee on Opioids and Substance Abuse. The committee will study the impact of substance abuse and substance use disorders in the state of Texas.
While all members of the committee have not yet been named, Representative Joe Moody (D-El Paso) will serve as vice chairman on the committee.
