Renea Dauntes will be joining the race for Mayor of Amarillo, according to her Facebook page.
Dauntes, whose Facebook page lists her as "Dauntless Dauntes" will be joining attorney Ginger Nelson and real estate investor Jeremy Bryant in the race for Mayor.
Realtor Howard Smith and Dr. Charles Eddy Sauer have both declared for City Council seats, as well. Smith will be seeking City Council Place 4, while Sauer will be seeking Place 3.
A number of other candidates have also filed treasurers for potential campaigns, but have not committed to running for a particular place.
City Council candidates can officially file for office on January 18th. Election Day is May 6th.
