One Arrested Following Shooting

One person has been arrested, and another has been hospitalized, following a recent shooting in North Amarillo.

APD reports that officers were dispatched to the intersection of Poplar and Magnolia, on Wednesday night. Reports indicate that officers were being dispatched on the call of a fight in the street.

Officers were notified that there had been a shooting. The victim was found on the porch of a residence on the 1800 block of Poplar. The 26-year-old victim was conscious, but was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

Marcus Bailey, the 17-year-old suspect had reportedly left the scene with another male. Bailey was returned to the scene and was placed under arrest.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition.
