Joe Straus has been re-elected as the speaker of the Texas House of Representatives.
In a 150-0 vote, Straus was re-elected to his position as speaker. This means that Straus will serve his fifth term as speaker of the house, tying the records set by Pete Laney and Gib Lewis for longest tenure as speaker.
Straus is currently serving his fourteenth year in the Texas House.
