Electric Light Parade Cancelled

A popular Amarillo parade has been cancelled, due to weather.

Center City's Electric Light Parade has been cancelled due to poor weather. The parade, which was scheduled for tonight at 6pm, has traditionally been a staple of the holiday season, in Amarillo.

"...for only the second time in more than 20 years, Center City is canceling the Electric Light Parade, which was scheduled for tonight." Center City's Beth Duke wrote on Facebook. "The National Weather Service predicts rain turning to snow just about the time we would be starting. For safety and the comfort of our guests, we are having to cancel the parade. We hope to reschedule the tree-lighting ceremony in the future."

For more information about the event's cancellation, you are asked to call Center City at 372-6744.
