One Arrested in Thanksgiving Homicide Investigation

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a homicide, that occurred on Thanksgiving.

Officers were dispatched early Thursday morning, to 3706 Lenwood, on a reported stabbing. When officers arrived, APD reports that a female was kneeling over an injured man. Officers found that Josh Houser, 35, was suffering from a stab wound in the shoulder. APD reports that he was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead.

APD officers arrested Alania Houser, 31, in connection with the stabbing. Houser is the wife of the victim.

Houser was booked into the Randall County Jail. Potter County Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn has ordered an autopsy.
