The Texas Rangers baseball club has signed Texas Christian University alum, Andrew Cashner, to a 1 year deal for $10 million.
Cashner, who played for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs, in 2008, will be making his return back to Texas. Although, this is not the first time that the Rangers have considered acquiring Cashner, this will be his first appearance in a Rangers uniform.
Cashner, who is entering his eighth year as a major league ball player, was introduced at a press conference, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Cashner is a pitcher, who played for the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins, last season.
