Dumas Gets New DA: Abbott Appoints Cook to 69th DA Office

Cullen Cook will serve as the newest district attorney for the 69th Judicial District of Texas following his appointment by Gov. Greg Abbott last week.

Cook, a graduate of Texas Tech University, was named the new district attorney for the 69th District on Monday by Abbott. According to his appointment announcement, Cook’s prior experience includes service as an assistant district attorney for the 69th District, as well as a stint with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the press release, Cook’s term will run through the end of 2028.

The 69th District includes Dallam, Hartley, Moore, and Sherman counties.
