Former District Judge Pamela Sirmon is making a bid to return to the Potter County District Courts building in 2025.

Last week, Sirmon filed her application to seek the Republican nomination for the 108th District Court bench, which is currently held by Judge Douglas Woodburn. Sirmon joins attorneys Joe Marr Wilson and Sam Brown Silverman in seeking the Republican nomination for the office.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Sirmon served as the judge of the 320th District Court from 2019 through 2023. Sirmon was defeated in her bid for re-election by Steven Denny. Prior to serving as a district court judge, Sirmon was a county court at law judge for Potter County.

The 108th District Court has jurisdiction over cases in Potter County, as the district is located entirely within the county.

Voters will decide this primary election on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
