Welcome to The Amarillo Pioneer’s live blog of the Saturday events of CPAC Texas 2022. This page will be updated regularly, so be sure to refresh the page. British media personality and politician Nigel Farage of the Brexit Party and formerly of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) takes the stage. His speech is titled “Saving the West.”

Farage noted in his speech that, in his view, the collapse of support for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was due to the fact that he was “elected as a conservative but governed as a liberal.” He expressed a view that similar political forces are acting across the English-speaking word and that “the silent majority is still on our side.”

Donald Trump has taken the stage and started to speak. He spoke very highly of Texas Representative Ronny Jackson and recalls the very crowded primary and tense runoff when he was first elected.
