Leadership at the Texas Republican Party has called on the Republican National Committee to replace Ronna Romney McDaniel as the leader of the national party organization.
On Saturday, the State Republican Executive Committee voted unanimously to demand members of the RNC replace McDaniel as national party chair this year. The SREC did not endorse a candidate, but generally called for McDaniel’s replacement as national party leader.
Texas has three voting members on the RNC, each of whom will be voting on the national party chairperson in January.
As of this writing, two candidates have announced their plans to challenge McDaniel: My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell and attorney Harmeet Dhillon.
