Authorities Seek Suspect in Mississippi Street Shooting

Authorities are currently on the hunt for a suspect as part of the investigation into a shooting in the 600 block of South Mississippi.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were called to a shooting in the 600 block of South Mississippi on Saturday, July 17 at 1:49pm. The victim was identified as Timothy McCullough, 24. McCullough was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries.

APD Homicide Unit has obtained a warrant for James Mireles, 22. As of the time of APD’s release, Mireles had not been arrested and is considered armed and dangerous.
