Canyon City Commission, Place 5

Randy Ray (Incumbent)

Age: 58 | Occupation: Director of Broadcast Engineering/Associate Lecturer, Department of Communication, West Texas A&M University

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position in 2020?

I have lived in Canyon for 20 years. I love Canyon. I also have years of administration experience that I want to continue to share with my community. I am also a communicator. I want to help the city of Canyon develop their communication skills so they can better serve our community.

Zachary Unger

Age: 20 | Occupation: Campus Coordinator for Turning Point USA

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position in 2020?

I believe it is important that we have a equally represented city commission reflected upon our community’s makeup. The young adults are a significant portion of our population in our community and it is paramount to continue our ideals, values, beliefs forward in the future to help our community grow as a whole. A representative like myself can bridge the gap to advance the conservative voice and goal.

Candidate Comparison: Canyon ISD Board of Trustees, Place 6
