Have you heard of DDP Yoga?

Now before some of you start rolling your eyes and thinking yoga is only for girls and sissies, well think again. DDP Yoga tagline is "This ain’t your momma’s yoga".

A professional wrestler, Diamond Dallas Page, started the program years ago and it is still going strong. Page became a wrestler at the age of 35. Which made him the oldest rookie in professional wrestling history. Then, at the height of his superstar career, he blew out his back. With the rupture of his L4 and L5 spinal disc, his career was over. Numerous doctors informed him that he would never wrestle again. He was desperate to keep his childhood dream alive. His wife suggested yoga, but like most men and most athletes, he wouldn't be caught dead doing yoga. He tried it and combined the yoga, with the rehab and traditional calisthenics. Not only did it work, but he was able to save his career along with three championship titles under his belt, as well. DDP Yoga is now available to everyone. He has helped celebrities and everyday people get back into shape. One of the side effects of DDP Yoga is weight loss. So how did Diamond Dallas Page manage this? He got back up. He was down with injuries and instead of staying down and starting a new career, he got back up.

Stephen King wrote a book called "Carrie". It was rejected 30 times from publishers. But it finally became a published book followed by a blockbuster movie. 30 times Shephen King was knocked down, but he "Got Back Up". The same thing with the John Chrisum book called "A Time to Kill". It too became a blockbuster movie with a-list actors. Did you know that the book was rejected 28 times? He got back up!

Did you know that some hit movies were also rejected before being picked up by another studio? Stephen Spielberg's "Raiders of the Lost Ark” and "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial," as well as George Lucas "Star Wars” were both rejected by movie studios. "Pulp Fiction" starring John Travolta was also originally rejected, as well as the movie "Back to the Future". The people behind these movies did one thing. They "got back up".

There is an old saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!". That was then, but life doesn't give you lemons any longer. Instead, life will sweep your legs and punch you in the face as you are going down. What do you do when that happens? You get back up! Things will happen during your lifetime to make you believe that nothing could get worse, then it does get worse. No matter what, get back up. Never lose hope. As long as you get back up, things will work out.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Not this time. There is an exception to every rule, and this is that exception. When you get back up from being knocked down, it shows determination and resilience. You learn what knocked you down and how to possibly avoid it again, or how to better deal with it. Nothing goes as planned and we all have our bad days. Remember, without the bad days, we couldn't appreciate the good days.

So what do a professional wrestler, numerous screenwriters, book authors, and millions of people across the world all have in common? They got back up.

So remember, no matter what happens, get back up. If you get knocked down 30 times, get back up 31 times. It doesn't matter how many times you do get knocked down….. just "get back up".

Afterthought:

I believe I might try DDP Yoga. I will let you know how it works out! If I fall, I promise, I will get back up!
