Parks and Rec Board to Talk Rick Klein Property

Members of the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Board will consider approving an agreement for use of property at Rick Klein Park this week.

In a meeting on Wednesday, the board will discuss and consider a proposed agreement with Tornado Alley BMX Parents Association for the use of over six acres located within Rick Klein Park. The meeting will not be open to the public due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, but will be broadcast via Zoom, according to the City of Amarillo, with log-in details available at Amarillo.gov.

In addition, the board will receive reports on a number of other issues relating to Parks and Recreation facilities, including on an aquatic center for Thompson Park.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 1:30PM.
